FAT MIKE　ひったくられる！NOFX　ヨーロッパへ！

NOFXは南アメリカツアー中、残すところ数日、

昨夜Fat Mikeに早業をしかけたヤツがいただんだ。

Fat　Mikeが何を言ってたかのぞいてみよう。

スリにあういい方法があるとしたら、俺は見つけた。

盗まれたいヤツはいないけど、君がやるとしたらこれよりいい方法は考えられないな。

午前7時ごろバーを探しながらブエノスアイレスの街を歩いてて、交差点で立ち止まった。

カメラマンにショートメッセージ（SMS）を送りたかったから。

しばらく俺は街をうろつくよって言ったら、彼は俺を撮りたいって言うと思ってね。

送信ボタンを押したら、バイクに乗った男がわざとらしく俺の手からi-phoneを叩き落した。

ちょっと待て！ヤツは止まらなかったし、俺のi-phoneも地面に落ちてなかった。

右を見たらヤツがいて、右手に俺のi-phone(公開したくない写真が山ほど入ってる)を

右手に持ってとっとと逃げやがった。うわ、やられた！

ちょっと笑いながら考えた。なんて不意打ち。なんてクソすばらしい盗みの方法！

暴力もなく、トラウマになるほどの精神的ショックもなく、ヤツを追いかけることもできない。

ほんとにすごい。

携帯電話ケースの中には何百ドルか入っていたんだけど、

あの時もしかしたら銃を突きつけられて強奪されたり、

頭をパイプで殴られたりしてたかもしれない。

そう思うと失ったものはあるけど、ある意味勝ちだね。

南アメリカも最悪の場所ってわけではないかもね。

PS.俺の携帯にはパスワードを設定してたから、お前はなんにもできないんだよ、ばーか。

　君はほんとにポイントをついてて、感動したよ。

FAT MIKE GETS MUGGED! NOFX HEAD TO EUROPE!
NOFX are currently on tour in South America with a few dates left but last night someone performed a little sleight of hand act on Fat Mike. Take a peek at what Fat Mike had to say about it:

If there ever was a good way to get mugged, I found it. Yeah, No one wants to get robbed, but if you do, I can’t think of a better way.

So, I’m walking down the streets of Buenos Aires at around 7 am looking for a bar and I stop at an intersection. I wanted to text one of our camera dudes and tell him that I was gonna wander around town for a while and maybe he wanted to film me. I pushed send and a guy on a bike accidentally knocks my I-phone out of my hand. Wait a second, he doesn’t stop and my I-phone isn’t on the ground. I look to my right and there he is, holding my phone (which has a fuck load of pictures that I don’t really want made public) with his right hand and making a pretty fast getaway. Wow! I’ve been robbed!

I kind of laugh and think, pretty sneaky. What a fucking great way to get robbed. No violence, no trauma, no chance I’m gonna run after him. Pretty sweet really. I also had a few hundred bucks in the phone case, but I would rather lose that then get held up at gunpoint or bashed in the head with a pipe. So even though I lost, I really kind of won. South America ain’t such a bad place after all.

Ps. I had a passcode lock on my phone so you didn’t get shit mother fucker! You do get points for style though. I was impressed.

大阪のLive Square 2nd Line にSTRIKE ANYWHEREを
見に行ってきました。

前回は、FATからリリースされたDEAD FM と"To The World"
しか知らなかったのですが、今回はとても楽しめました！

会場の半分がサークルピットと言っていいくらい、
盛り上がっていました。

Iron Front からはCrossing , Summer Punks など
DEAD FM からはPrisoners Echo と
Hollywood　Cemetory!!
これはとってもききたかったので、すごくうれしかった!!!

アンコールもあってほんとに楽しくって、
ほかの曲順とかはもう覚えてません。
とにかくすごく楽しかった。
STRIKE ANYWHEREのライブは凄い！です。

NOFX Fermented and Flailing 春ツアー！！

NOFXは春のFermented and Flailing ツアーを発表したよ。

このツアーはオレゴンから始まってカナダまで北上、最後はアリゾナに戻る。

レーベルの仲間であるTeenage Bottlerocketがサポートバンドをつとめ、

スペシャルゲストとしてNo Use For A NameのTony Slyが参加する予定。

まもなくさらなるサポートバンドやわくわくするようなニュースを発表する予定。

またチェックしに来て。

NOFX Fermented and Flailing spring tour!
NOFX have just announced their upcoming Fermented and Flailing spring tour! The tour will kick off in Oregon, head north to Canada and dip back ending in Arizona. NOFX will be supported by fellow label mates Teenage Bottlerocket and special guest Tony Sly of No Use For A Name. Check back soon for some exciting news on additional support bands being added along the way, but for now here’s what we’ve got cookin’:

最新のＥＰからは、Fat Mikeがフェイスペイントをしてふざけまわるピエロのキャラクターだ。

ジャグリングはすばやくないけど、みんなの顔にジャケットの襟につけた花から粉を吹きかけてるよ。

歌詞によるとその粉はただの小麦粉じゃなくて、XとコカインとＫのスペシャルブレンドらしいよ。

NOFX – “Cokie the Clown”
From the band’s latest EP comes this tribute to Fat Mike’s face-painted, joke-playing clown. When Cokie isn’t busy juggling he can be found shooting powder into people’s faces via the the flower on his jacket’s lapel, which isn’t filled with flour, but rather, as the song says, “a special blend of X, coke and K.” Who knows whether the flower was filled with that same concoction when the band made this video, but here’s a look at Cokie in action:

"The Brews"　

この曲のキャラクターはマニシェビッツで酔っ払うのが好きで、ユダヤ以外の女の子と

パーティするのが好きなハシッド派ユダヤパンクスのギャング達だ。

この曲は1994年の作品"Punk in Drublic"に収録されているのが驚きで、

"White Trash, two Heebs and a Bean"(下級白人、2人のユダヤ人、メキシコのヤツ)に

収録されてたほうがあってると思う。

NOFX – “The Brews”
The characters in this song are a gang of Hasidic Jewish punks who like getting drunk on Manishevitz and partying with shiksas. Surprisingly, the track appeared on the band’s 1994 opus “Punk in Drublic,” not the more appropriately-titled “White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean.”

"Bob"

NOFXの代表曲のひとつ、Bobは”肝臓が破裂するまで１５年間酔っ払いっぱなし”

お酒抜きの彼の人生で、Bobは他に夢中になるものが必要だった。それがパンクロック。

NOFX – “Bob”
One of the band’s most famous creations, Bob “spent 15 years getting loaded, 15 years ’til his liver exploded.” But without booze in his life, Bob needs something else to focus on: punk rock.

"Liza and Louise"

Lizaはボーイフレンドと別れた後、バーでLouiseと会って”肉欲の世界”をおしえられるまでは、

恋愛対象は男性だった。

お上品な人は気を付けて、歌詞の描写が詳しくて生々しい。

"Louise"の続編は最高だ。Fat Mikeが時々赤面するって言ってたよ。

"Liza"の続編もあるから安心して。

“Liza and Louise”
Liza had always been hetero, at least until breaking up with her beau, meeting Louise at bar and ultimately being introduced to “the world of pleasures of the flesh.” Prudes beware however, the lyrics are pretty graphic, though nothing like the sequel “Louise,” which Fat Mike has said has occasionally makes him blush. Oh, and don’t worry — Liza got a sequel too.

"Lori Myers"

Fat Mike paints a vivid portrait of a girl he once knew who ended up a porn star in this two and a half minute blast featuring Kim Shattuck of the Muffs. Shattuck’s sandpaper vocals are perfect for the lyrics she spits, a righteous bit of feminism that justifies her career choice thusly: “I know what degradation feels like, I felt it on the floor at the factory where I worked long before. I took control. Now I answer to me. The 50K I make this year will go anywhere I please.”

"She's Nubs"

この曲はカナダ人の腕も足もない大好きなファンにささげる曲。

この曲でわかるのは”彼女は美しい目をしていて、胸は普通サイズ、

でもふくらはぎもふともももない。”ってこと。

Fat Mikeが肩車をしている写真があります。

NOFX – “She’s Nubs”
A tribute to a favorite Canadian fan who has no arms or legs, though as we learn in the song, “She’s got beautiful eyes, and breasts regular size, but without calves and thighs, she’s nubs.” Here’s a photo of her atop Fat Mike.

"Jeff Wears Birkenstocks?"　

有名なヒッピーサンダルを愛用しているJeff　Abartaがこの曲のテーマ。

Jeff Abarta , long-time Epitaph records employee, is the subject of this one, who, along with the famous hippie sandals mentioned in the song, also sports a tie-dyed Rancid shirt in the song. “Is he a jerk?,” Mike asks in the chorus. “No just confused. Jeff don’t wear regular shoes.”

As I’ve mentioned, we have Mike’s alter ego “Cokie The Clown” running amuck and you can watch him in action by checking out the exclusive Myspace video premiere of “Cokie The Clown” by clicking here!

NOFXがCokie the Clown を11/24に発売する準備が出来たとお知らせするのを、

うれしく思います。

７インチ2枚組のＥＰはＣＤ、ビニール盤、I TUNESで購入できます。

このリリースのこと、しっかり頭に入れておいて。

NOFXの新曲５曲はＣＤ１枚、７インチは２枚にわけてリリースされます。

Fat Mikeが彼の娘とPancake Mountain で演奏した “Straight Outta Massachusetts”

それぞれ違うジャケットで違う色のビニール盤になる予定です。

全部買う？もしそうしないとしても、Fat Mikeのメッセージ読んでって。

オーストラリアはとてもいい所だ。すごく好きだ。本当に成果移住で俺が気に入っている国で大陸で島だ。

でも時差がむかつくんだ。

なにがむかつくって家に帰るのに１８時間もかかった。

（そのうち２時間はハワイにいた。飛行機の便器が壊れたんだ。）

それでカリフォルニアに着いたのが、・・・・また同じ日だった！

飛行機に乗ってること自体はそこまでむかつかないにしても、またこれから１０時間も起きてないと

いけない。無理だ。いつもは夜１０時に寝るんだ。そんなもんだろ？

午前１２：３０まで起きてた。オーストラリアでは午後５：３０だ。

ねちねち言うほどのことでもないけど、むかつくよ。

睡眠導入剤を使っても午前８時まで寝られないんだ。

昨日は娘を学校に迎えに行くためだけに、午後３時に起きた。

それで今は午前６：１５で、みんなに新しいＥＰのことを知らせるために、

こんなにたくさん文章を書いて、でも俺の頭は今ばかだから、意味の通ったことが全く書けない。

こういうことだよ。

やあ、バネッサ。５曲の新曲じゃないんだ、Coasterのレコーディング中の５曲で、

あまりに出来が良すぎて、入れなかった５曲だ。

そうすごく良いから、俺たちのレーベルのばかな社長が”ＥＰでもっと稼げる”から

レコードにして発売しろって。

ＮＯＦＸは理解できないって思ってるけど、彼は稼ぐ源だから、言うとおりにしよう。

いずれにしても狂ってるよ。他人のつもりになって自分のこと言ってるよ。

ＯＫ，３時間以内にRiot Festに向かう為に飛行機に乗らなくちゃ。

週末はずっとくそピエロみたいな格好をするんだ。

大きく伸びして、じゃあ後で。

NOFX EP/7” x2 out on November 24th!

We are pleased to announce NOFX are set to release Cokie the Clown on November 24th! This EP/7”x2 will be available on cd/vinyl and through ITUNES. Okay, wrap your brains around this release. Its five brand new songs by NOFX released on one CD and split up on two different 7”s. The CD EP is titled Cokie the Clown. The first 7” is also titled Cokie the Clown, go here for details! You may remember Fat Mike and his daughter performing “Straight Outta Massachusetts” for Pancake Mountain which you can watch here ! The second 7” is titled My Orphan Year, click here for details. Each will have different covers and both will have different colored vinyl. Phew! Did you get all that? If not, read what Fat Mike has to say:

All right, Australia is a pretty cool place. I like it a whole bunch. It’s actually my favorite country/continent/island in the world, but Fuck them and their stupid time zone! Seriously, what the fuck? It takes us 18 hours to fly home (2 of which were in Hawaii cuz the toilets on the plane broke) and when we get back to Cali…….and it’s the same fucking day!

Fuck, like the shite(sp) plane ride wasn’t bad enough, now I gotta stay awake for another 10 hours. No can do. I fall asleep at 10:00 pm. Sounds reasonable? Until I wake up at 12:30 am. Yeah, cuz that’s 5:30 pm Aussie time. This isn’t really enough to bitch about, but fuck, I can’t fall asleep till 8:00 am and that’s with Ambien and whatever-pam. I woke up at 3 in the afternoon yesterday, only cuz I had to get my daughter from school.

So now it’s 6:15 am and I’m writing this many word thing to tell everyone about our new EP, but my brain is dumb now and I don’t write in a making sense manner so much. This is what I got:

Hey, BTWV (Vanessa), not 5 new song EP. 5 songs that were recorded during Coaster but didn’t make the record cuz they were too good! That’s right, they are so good that the stupid president of our record label made us leave them off the record cuz we could, “Make more money with an EP ” says him/he. NOFX think makes not sense, but he’s the guy with the fountain so we do what he says. Dudes crazy anyway. Talks about himself in the third person nonstop.

OK, Gotta go catch a flight to Riot Fest in 3 hours. I’m dressing like a fucking clown all weekend. Big stretch….later, Cokie
