私たちは、食事をする。


We eat.




生きるために水を飲む。


We drink to live.

けれども、またしばらくするとおなかがすくよね。


But after a while we become hungry again.




喉もかわくよね。


And then we feel thirsty again.
















心も同じように、かわくことがある。


Likewise, your heart might feel thirsty too.





その飢えをしのごうと、刺激を求めて、いろいろ試してみる。


To satisfy the hunger, you might try lots of different things.












たとえば聖書に出てくるこの女性。


For example this lady in the Bible;






















いつも他人の目を気にして生きていた。


She was always caring about what others thought about her.




人からどう見られているのか。


What do people see me as?




陰で一体何と言われているのか。


What do they say behind my back?












でも、その気にしいな心とは裏腹に、


Although she worries about her reputation,




五度、結婚と離婚を繰り返した。


She got married and divorced 5 times.












いつだって、最初はよかったんだ。


It was always good at the beginning.




甘い言葉を囁かれ、


He whispered me that he loved me.




どの男もベッドの上では優しかった。


All the men I knew were very kind to me in bed.












けれども、一度たりともうまくいかなかった。


But any relationship never once went well.




























どうにか自分の心の飢えを男で満たそうとしたけれど


She tried to satisfy her hunger in her heart somehow with men.



最初は満たされた気持ちになっても、またすぐにかわいた。


They fulfilled her for a short moment, but she felt thirsty again.
























ヨハネ４：７－１８





まもなく、サマリヤ人の女が一人、水を汲みに来ました。　


イエスは、「すみませんが、水を一杯下さい」と声をおかけになりました。


女はびっくりしたようです。　「あれまあ、あんたユダヤ人じゃないのさ。　


あたしはサマリヤ人だよ。　なのにどうして、水をくれなんて頼むのさ。」


〔当時、ユダヤ人はサマリヤ人を見下し、口をきこうとさえしなかったのです。〕


あんたは、あたしたちのご先祖ヤコブ様よりも偉いってのかい。　


ヤコブ様はこの井戸をあたしたちにくれたんだよ。　


ヤコブ様も、その子孫も、家畜もみんな、この井戸の水を喜んで飲んだんだ。　


これよりいい水をくれるってのかい。」


「この水を飲んでも、すぐにまた、のどが渇きます。


けれども、わたしがあげる水を飲めば、


絶対に渇くことはありません。　わたしがあげる水は、それを飲む人のうちで、


永久にかれない泉となり、いつまでも、その人を永遠のいのちで潤すからです。」


「先生。　その水をあたしに下さいよ。　そうすりゃ、のども渇かないし、


毎日こんな遠くまで、てくてく歩いてさ、水汲みに来なくてすむもの。」


「帰って、夫を連れて来なさい。」「でも、あたし、結婚なんかしてない。」 


「それもそうです。　あなたは五回も結婚したけれど、今いっしょに暮らしてる男は、


確かに夫ではありませんね。」







John 4:7-18


7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, 


“Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) 

¹² Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”

¹³ Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, ¹⁴ but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

¹⁵ The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”

¹⁶ He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”

¹⁷ “I have no husband,” she replied.

Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. ¹⁸ The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”

イエスは確かにわたしたちに約束してる。


Jesus indeed has promised us





もう絶対に渇かない水を心に注いでくれるって。 


that he will pour out water that will never make you feel thirsty again.


















 


しかもわたしたちにはそのいのちの水を


ほかの人にもわけてあげる使命が与えられてる！





And we're called to share the water with others as well!

















 


ルカ９：１１－１７



イエスは、人々の目を逃れることはできませんでした。　大ぜいの群衆が、あとを追って来たのです。　



そのような彼らを、イエスは心から喜んで迎え、



神の国について教えたり、病人を治したりなさいました。



そのうち、日も暮れ始めたので、十二人の弟子たちはイエスのところへ来て頼みました。　


























「先生。　この人たちを解散させてください。　近くの村や農場に行って、



食べ物と今夜の宿を見つけることができるようにしてやらなければ......。　



こんな寂しい所じゃ、何もありませんから。」



「いいえ。　あなたがたで、みんなに食べ物をあげるのです。」







イエスの答えに、弟子たちはあきれ顔で抗議しました。　



「何ですって！　手もとには、パンが五つと魚が二匹あるだけですよ。



これだけ大ぜいの人が食べる物を、買い出しに行けとでもおっしゃるんですか。」







こう言うのも、むりはありません。　男だけでも五千人はいたのですから。 



しかし、イエスは、「さあ、みんなを五十人ぐらいずつのグループに分けて、座らせなさい」



と言われます。







そこでイエスは、五つのパンと二匹の魚を取り、天を見上げ、感謝の祈りをささげられました。　



それからパンをちぎり、人々に配るため、弟子たちに手渡されました。



みんながお腹いっぱい食べたあと、パンくずを集めると、



なんと十二かごにもなりました。

¹¹ but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

¹² Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

¹³ He replied, “You give them something to eat.”

They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd.” ¹⁴ (About five thousand men were there.)

But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” ¹⁵ The disciples did so, and everyone sat down. ¹⁶ Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. ¹⁷ They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

1. 心から人々のことを愛し、喜び、一緒に時間を過ごしていた。

1. Jesus loved people and was happy with them, and He spent time with them.

イエスは当時、かなりの有名人！ひっきりなしに人々がついてまわっていた。

それを拒みもせず、むしろ喜んで迎え、おしゃべりしたり、教えたり、いやしていた。

Jesus was such a popular person at that time.

There were always loads of people around Him.

But he never rejected them, rather, he welcomed them, talked to them, taught them and healed those who were ill.

２．　人々を空腹で帰すことはなかった。

2. Jesus never let them go home without feeding them.

どんな状況であっても、人がおなかぺこぺこのまま帰すことをしなかった。

みんなおなかいっぱいになって、それでもまだ食べ物はあまっていた。

神さまの祝福はあふれかえるほど沢山なんだ！

In any circumstances, He never sent people when they were hungry.

In the Bible, it says everyone was full, but there was still lots of food left.

God's blessing overflows!

３．13節、「あなたの手で食べ物を与えなさい」

3. verse 13 'You give them food'

イエスは、自らその食べ物を与えるのではなく、弟子たちに託した。

Jesus charged His disciples with giving people food rather than doing it by Himself.

祝福は神さまがあなたの手にあふれるほどに渡してくれている。

それを、あなたの手からみんなに与えなさい。

God's blessing is overflowing in your hand,

so now you share it with other people.

Give the food you got from God to people from your hand!

わたしたちに使命を与えてくれている。

we have responsibility to share God's love.

 

おなかすいとる？

Are you hungry?

イエスだけが、決してかわくことのない水をくれるよ。

Only Jesus can give you the water that you will never thirsty again.

^25-28Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ's love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They're really doing themselves a favor—since they're already "one" in marriage.
