最初と最後のシーンは記憶通りでした。こんなに心理描写の鋭い映画だったとは・・・。シャロン・ストーンがマイケル・ダグラスの心理を自在に操っているのがこわい。

殺人のシーンは好きではありませんが、ぐいぐい引き込まれました。名作だと思います。

My memoris on "Basic Instinct" were correct on the first and last scenes. I didn’t remember this movie describes psychological movements of the role of Michael Douglas this much.

I don’t like murder scenes, but I was drawn into the story.

先月から、タロウと神戸での生活が始まりました。

タロウが環境の変化に順応してくれるかちょっと心配でした。だけどなんのなんの、タロウはたくましかったです。

My Kobe life with Taro started last month.

I was a little bit worried if Taro gets used to the new environment soon. But he was tough.

I took Taro to a walk to Shukugawa River early in the morning. It was cloudy, but the cherry blossoms were beautiful. The area will be crowded with many people for a week or so.

地味なロード・ムービーだと思っていました。全く予想していなかった展開で、笑ってしまいました。終わり方も自然で妙に納得。アビゲイル・ブレスリンは本当に「リトル・ミス・サンシャイン」。なんとなく見覚えのある役者さん達が個性的に演じていて、スターがいなくてもいい作品はできるのだな、と思いました。

I had thought that “Little Miss Sunshine” was a　non-spectacular cross-country road movie, but it was more than that. The story was unexpected and it made me laugh. Abigail Breslin is really Little Miss Sunshine. Actors and actresses who looked familiar to me were wonderful, and I realized that a good work can be produced without a star.

ヒロイン二人が、2週間限定で家を交換して、非日常で自分を取り戻す、という設定が気に入りました。ケイト・ウィンスレットの「ローズヒル・コテージ」みたいな家に住みたいな。

I like the setting of “The Holiday,” which two heroines swap homes in each other's countries for two weeks, where they pulls themselves together in their non-day-to-day lives. I wish I could live in a house like Kate Winslet’s Rosehill Cottage.

伊勢に行きました。修学旅行以来です。

伊勢神宮では、心が洗われていくような気がしました。

タロウを連れての一泊旅行。夫婦岩をバックにパチリ。風が強かったです。

We went to Ise. The last time I wen there was on a school trip.

At Ise Jingu (shrine), I was feeling a sense of purity, out of my daily life.

We took Taro with us to this two-day trip. I took his photo with Meotoiwa (Wedded Rocks) in the background. It was windy.

「松たか子が良かったよ」と母が言っていたので、ずっと観たいと思っていました。主演二人とも魅力的でした。永瀬正敏演ずる宗蔵を見ていると、本当に強い人は優しいのだな、と感じました。「鬼の爪」は見事でした。

Since my mother told me, “Matsu Takako is good,” “The Hidden Blade: Oni's Claw” has been on my want-to-see” list. The both main actor and actress were attractive. Seeing Munezo, acted by Nagase Masatoshi, I thought that a person who really strong is gentle. His “Oni’s Claw” was marvelous.

食べる前に慌てて写真をとりました。私にとっての記念の一枚。

久しぶりにケーキを作りました、ふと思いついて。心と体力に少し余裕がでてきたのかな、と思えます。嬉しい。

I took this photo quickly right before we ate it. To me, this is a memorable shot.

It has been a long time since I had made cakes last time. I feel I am getting energized and I am glad with it.

やっと、「坂の上の雲」の第一部を観終えました。とても見応えがあります。主役の秋山兄弟と正岡子規を演じる3人の役者さんはもちろんいいのですが、正岡子規の妹を演じる菅野美穂が、とてもいいな、と思います。

司馬遼太郎さんの作品読んだり観たりした後は、自分が日本人であることに嬉しくなります。

Finally, I watched Part I of “Saka no Ue no Kumo (Clouds　over the Slope), ” the TV series. It is spectacular. The three actors who play main characters, Akiyama Yoshifuru (General in the Imperial Japanese Army), his brother Akiyama Saneyuki (a Meiji-period career officer in the Imperial Japanese Navy), and their friend, Masaoka Shiki (a Japanese author, poet, literary critic, and journalist in Meiji period ) are very good. And I think Kanno Miho who acts as Shiki’s sister is especially good.

After I read or watch Shiba-san’s (the original author) works, I become very happy with being Japanese.
